This is where Soldier, Joy, July and all of the rest of the horses (8 of them!) spent the night on our recent camping trip the week of 2/23/11.  We rotate them into a stall, some get tied outside the stall, some get tied to hitching posts, some get tied on picket lines, and sometimes we use our trailer as a stall.  Our horses are taught to stand tied quietly for hours so that we can camp anywhere.

THIS is what we do.  We recently put together a "reunion/refresher" camp, which several previous customers brought their horses to, rode with us, we offered pointers and helped with any issues they might have questions about, and had a very, very LARGE time!  Gourmet meals at camp, fellowship dinners, singing and laughing around the campfire.  Click on the above embedded arrow to ride along with us.

Becky warms Soldier up on 2/16/11 near a construction site with air guns and scary banging noises going on!

And then this side of the track is adjacent to a busy highway with firetrucks, ambulances and logging trucks zooming by.

Getting ready to hit the highway!  (See video above)

Soldier will nod his head and perform a true four-beat Tennessee walk, and he also has a fast, thrilling rack, so we were teasing Becky about breaking the speed limit here!

How many scary critters can we possibly get in the same pasture?  The donkeys were braying and the llama was hissing, threatening.

I just love this picture -- a beautiful Texas day with friends on wonderful horses.  We rode over 7 miles that morning.

Movin' on!  This boy is a really fun, fun ride.

Huey riding Elvis leads the way on 12/22/10 while Roseanne on Braxton and Kirk on Soldier follow.

Roseanne leading the way on Ranger, Huey on Poppy, Jill on Blue, and Don following on Soldier on 11/26/10.

We love to switch around and ride different horses, so Don and Suzanne are switching Soldier and Mojo.

Time to hydrate!  Really cute picture of Suzanne on Soldier.

And now, Jennifer gives up Braxton to me and takes Soldier from Suzanne, and I give up Jasper to Suzanne.

Angela rides Soldier at Lake Rayburn and the Angelina Forest on 7/31/10.  She is borrowing him for the day, since her mare "Easter Anna" is still in training with us.

Cute lil Cody works Soldier out while he stays with us for the summer.

"Soldier Boy" -- Now THAT'S a HOSS!  Big, beautiful, stout Tennessee Walking Horse 6-yr-old 15.2H bay gelding with massive hindquarters, crease down his rump, wide muscled chest, large bone structure, beautiful sloping shoulder, relatively small, pretty head for such a big horse.  Almost looks like a draft horse, with just enough refinement to keep you guessing.  Soldier Boy's owner is in the Armed Forces and currently serving in Iraq, so his family is selling his horse, per his request.  This handsome fellow performs a nice, head-shaking true Tennessee Walk, a smooth, four-beat rack with thrilling speed, and then a nice, athletic canter.  His papers were lost so he will be selling WITHOUT registration, but could be registered Racking.  Although he has nice speed and plenty of spirit when you call on him, I think most people would be comfortable riding him.  $4500
