Big Jake is too tall for Jasper to mount, so he is trained to step over a log to use as a mounting block on the trail.

Beautiful photo of Jasper on Big Jake in the goat/sheep/cattle pasture.

Rackin' on!!!!

When the herd reached this shady area, they stopped and all laid down to snooze. Lazy scoundrels!

We used the horses and stock dogs to take the goat/sheep herd to the grazing pasture on this Texas summer morning.

Jasper rides "Big Jake" right past all the other horses and toward the trails. No barn sour issues with this team!

Grandfather and grandson take a ride on 6/29/13 -- Jasper warms "Big Jake" up in the arena while his grandfather Huey warms up "Jaguar".

Three buckskins! From left: Liz on "Big Jake"; Tommy on "Bunny", and Ann on "Jackie".

A beautiful sunset; Gayle on "Big Jake" in Lake Rayburn on 5/18/13.

Not everyone has the opportunity to have a speed boat as a desensitizing tool! Big Jake is thirsty and doesn't even care about the loud motor boat in Lake Rayburn on our camping trip on 5/17/13.

"Big Jake" -- Extremely nice big, stout built 15.2H 8-yr-old Tennessee Walking Horse Gelding, athletic, no stumble, no pace, nice canter, looks like Marlboro horse from yesteryear. Mark of Carbon, Carbon Copy, Merry Go Boy, Pride's Generator bloodlines (registered Pleasure Saddle Horse Registry) and very gentle, sweet natured, nicely spirited -- not a deadhead. He neck reins, moves off leg pressure, a lot of fun for intermediate and maybe even advanced beginners, but not for timid riders, because he is not sluggish or lazy. Big Jake is an extremely handsome fellow and very trail savvy, will go anywhere you point him. We haul to different places all the time, so trail loading for any of our horses is a non issue -- our horses have no problems with loading or hauling. This horse is not any trouble in the pasture with other horses, either. $5750
