Big South Fork in Kentucky!

This is a world that you never get to see unless you hike or ride a horse . . . feels like a magical cave that you're riding your noble steed through . . . you start out at the top in the warm sunshine, and as you descend into the hollow, past the fragrant pine trees, hooves pounding rhythmically along the sandy ground, kicking up the autumn-colored crunchy dead leaves, which have their own delicious dry, potpourri type fragrance . . . sigh . . .

"Rooster" -- 9-yr-old 14.2H Pintaloosa/Walkaloosa -- he's a very interesting combination. Spotted Saddle Horse on the front end, Appaloosa/Walkaloosa on the back end, gaited like nobody's business with extreme style and flash! Effortless easy, athletic slow lope that is so comfortable to ride. Four long white stockings, black and white tail streaming out behind him like a flag, and he holds his head and neck arched like a noble knight in a chess game. We owned him five years ago and sold him to a really great owner in Virginia, who trail rode him there for all this time. Recently, she decided to sell her horses, and we got him back. He has had lots of miles on him, being camped and ridden in Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia and Texas. This fancy little horse is hard to take your eyes off of on the trail. I think it would be fun to show him in a style racking class. Cheyenne is 12 years old and is riding him in these photos and having a really good time, but that's only after I rode him first. He is very spirited a fun motor scooter for a more confident rider. Rooster can rack on, fun, fun to ride for an intermediate to experienced rider -- no beginners, please! (A little too much brio to make a timid rider feel comfortable.) $1850
