Beautiful, stunning scenery! Kirk leads the way on his horse Crackerjack, with Tommy on Mikey and his wife, Ann on Jackie following. Huey is riding Calypso, a sweet stocky little 14.2H Paso Fino gelding that probably anyone can ride, followed by Cisco.

Liz leads the way through the Angelina Forest on Calypso the Paso Fino, with Betty following on Cash the Tennessee Walking Horse, and Paulina following on Quatro, the Rocky Mountain Horse.
Lots of hurricane damage to step over.
This is one of the sweetest, most tolerant horses I've ever met. I'm not even a big Paso fan, but I actually fell in love with this little guy the moment I saw his picture, and when I met him, he didn't disappoint me. In fact, the first time I rode him it was in a bitless bridle, and I never felt safer. He's a big furry teddy bear with hooves!
After a long ride on the trails, splashing in the lake feels wonderful, and refreshes so that the last half of the trail is exhilarating. (This picture gets to me singing Bobby Darin's "Splish Splash I was takin' a bath" song!)
♫ ♫ . . . 'Long about a Saturday night! ♫ ♫
Liz tries to teach Calypso to drink out of the water fountain, and then, he DOES! But I will really be impressed when she gets him to push the button himself!
Over the log -- we train to step over instead of jumping over.

"Calypso" -- Just sit in the saddle for 10 seconds and see if you don't feel like you've just come home. The sweet, willing 5-yr-old 14.2H tri-color Paso Fino gelding instantly makes you feel safe -- he is sound and sturdy under the saddle, willing to do anything you ask him and go anywhere. His gaits are smooth, smooth and as a bonus, he slips into the best little rocking chair canter effortlessly. Calypso is big and strong enough for most men, yet a wonderful safe confidence builder for women and the grandkids, as well! He has been raised with the best of care, never been abused or neglected, and not started under saddle until he was three years old, and then he was trained the right way (with natural horsemanship methods). He moves off leg pressure and stops on command, instantly. He rides in bosal, bitless bridle, snaffle or shanks but I'd venture to say shanks are not needed. I ride him in a snaffle with shanks on double reins but never pick up the shank reins. Calypso is eager to get on the trailer, easy to unload as well, bathes, clips, a dream for the farrier, learning to yield front, hind, side pass, and he backs easily. This is a jewel of a horse, and he is much less expensive than a trip to the emergency room or a funeral -- we call this kind of horse "grandkid insurance". $6500
